چکیده
Abstract Automatic scheduling techniques are becoming a crucial tool for the efficient planning of large astronomical surveys. A specific method is being designed and developed Atmospheric Remote-sensing Infrared Exoplanet Large-survey ( Ariel ) mission based on hybrid meta-heuristic algorithm with global optimization capability to ensure obtaining satisfying results fulfilling all constraints. We used this simulate plan, assess feasibility its scientific goals, study outcome different science scenarios. conclude that will be able fulfill objectives, i.e. characterizing $$\sim$$ ∼ 1000 exoplanet atmospheres, total exposure time representing about 75–80% lifetime. demonstrate it possible include phase curve observations sample targets or increase number studied exoplanets within Finally, around 12–15% can still non-time constrained observations.

Robust UAV mission planning
Unmanned Areal Vehicles (UAVs) can provide significant contributions to information gathering in military missions. UAVs can be used to capture both full motion video and still imagery of specific target locations within the area of interest. In order to improve the effectiveness of a reconnaissance mission, it is important to visit the largest number of interesting target locations possible, t...

Problems in which autonomous agents perform simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM) are well explored in the literature. A related problem is rediscovery, in which the agent attempts to refine estimates of feature locations derived from previous SLAM surveys. However, most works in rediscovery assume high density of features. The major contribution of this work is a formulation of the spar...

متن کاملThe UAV-Mission Planning Problem
In military operations Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are used for reconnaissance of target locations in the area of operations. These target locations each have their own priority. In this thesis the UAV-Mission Planning Problem (UAV-MPP) is addressed where the fuel usage of the flight between each pair of targets is known a priori only probabilistically and the information about the target l...
متن کاملTowards Fast Safe Mission Planning
I. INTRODUCTION Robotic and cyber-physical systems are proliferating at a breakneck pace. A key technological hurdle is to ensure safety of such systems especially within proximity of humans. While there has been a push in identifying obstacles and unsafe situations via sensors and machine learned predictors [2, 1], the task of embedding such information to determine safe course while obeying r...
